On Thursday 7th July there will be an Extraordinary Meeting of the Parish Council to consider a parish council response to West Suffolk District Council’s consultation on Preferred Options for the Local Plan. We are hoping to have a planning officer from West Suffolk available to answer questions, and this item will be preceded by an update on preparation of the Neighbourhood Plan for Wickhambrook, so that this informs the parish council response. Please do join us – the meeting starts at 6:00pm, and will be held at the Pavilion – Wickhambrook Memorial Social Centre.
On Saturday 9th July, the Neighbourhood Plan Working Group and Parish Council will be sharing a drop in space at the Wickhambrook Fete and Flower Show (between 2 and 6pm). Here the NPWG will be showcasing their findings from the Household Questionnaire and asking further questions about residents views on West Suffolk’s preferred options with respect to housing allocation and site(s). The parish council will have a display on the District Council’s Local Plan preferred options and also be asking questions about its proposals for outdoor fitness equipment and a new site for a Multi-Use Games Area. We’re also looking to co-opt a new councillor – drop by and have a chat abut any of these issues!
