What we as a parish councillor offer is a chance to serve your community and get to know it better. Parishes are ultra local, acting as statutory consultees for planning applications and providing services such as maintaining play areas, greens and the cemetery.
By becoming a councillor you’ll be someone your community will look to for help, guidance and support. A community leader with who can influence decisions for the benefit of the people you serve.
Seeing your community change as the result of decisions which you’ve helped make is something that can give you a sense of achievement and pride.
