June 6th commemorates the 80th Anniversary of the D Day landings. To mark this, the parish council has purchased a commemorative flag which will be raised by the RBL team in the Cemetery. We’ve also had the War Memorial cleaned, and a new Royal Navy Commemorative Bench has been installed.
You may also like to place a lamp in your window on this evening to represent the ‘light of peace’ that emerged from the darkness of war.
