Thank you to everyone who has raised this as an issue with me. It’s really disappointing that public and private areas have been damaged in this way.
I have contacted both West Suffolk and Suffolk County Council to raise this as an issue. Suffolk County Council have advised that the areas reported would not have been included in any Suffolk Highways weed treatment and they have also advised that they do not use spray to treat grassed areas at all.
Information published on the WSDC website has listed:
Thorns Close, Nunnery Green, Boyden Close, Coltsfoot Close as being visited between 7th and the 10th of May by their contractors.
All of these areas have been mentioned as locations where spray has been used to a detrimental effect.
I have contacted West Suffolk again and asked for a response and will update you as soon as I receive one.
