Thank to you everyone who contacted me about the damage caused by spray in Wickhambrook in early May.
I’ve just received an update from Suffolk Highways in response to reports I logged on their system about Cemetery Road, and I know a similar response has already been sent relating to damage at Nunnery Green:
“Good afternoon,
Thank you for contacting us regarding Cemetery Road, Wickhambrook.
Suffolk Highways apologises for the damage caused to your grass following one of our subcontractors applying weed treatment in the area in a manner which did not meet our usual standards.
We appreciate that this has understandably caused upset and the operative in question has been made aware of his error to avoid a similar situation from occurring in the future.
Our Cyclical Manager will be attending the affected area later this week to carry out a full assessment of the damage and determine how best to rectify this. At present, we are aiming to carry out repairs during the week commencing Monday 10 June.
Once again, we would like to apologise for this error and provide reassurance that action has been taken to avoid this from happening again.
Kind regards,
If you haven’t already, please make sure that you log any spray damage at your property through Suffolk County Council’s report a problem page – you can use the map to find your actual property and then add a pin.
