You may see an increased police presence in the area.  Detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Clare Post Office this afternoon.

Police were called at approximately 4:45pm today, Wednesday 3 August.

Two males are reported to have entered the post office on Well Lane wearing balaclavas and threatened staff with an unknown object before demanding money from the till.

A quantity of cash was then stolen from the till and the suspects reportedly left in a vehicle, possibly black or grey in colour.

A staff member sustained minor injuries during the incident.

Witnesses or anyone who was driving in the area with dashcam footage who may have seen suspicious activity, or information that could help the inquiry is asked to contact CID at Suffolk Police, quoting crime reference 37/48603/22.
