A Note from your clerk – Recruiting Volunteers for Community Speedwatch

19th August 2024 | Speed Reduction

One of the issues raised by many residents throughout the preparation of our Draft Neighbourhood Plan has been Traffic Management and making Wickhambrook’s roads and lanes safer for all users.  We’ve already done quite a bit of work on this through the Quiet Lanes project and our existing Vehicle Activated Signage, and a project a few years ago for twenty’s plenty signage in the vicinity of the school.  Residents have asked about the introduction of a Community Speedwatch Scheme, and at its meeting in November of last year the parish council agreed to establish one (if sufficient volunteers could be recruited).

Take a look at the attached poster to find out more about Community Speedwatch

If  you are interested in becoming part of a volunteer Community Speedwatch team, please leave your details on our volunteering form, or contact the parish clerk.
