We had a busy morning in Wickhambrook Cemetery on 2nd April with thanks to our regular volunteers, Mary Jolland, Cllrs Andrea and Kevin Grimes and Cllr Lavelle – some new paling fencing was installed in the corner of the cemetery adjacent to the footpath, to protect the new hawthorns, one of the benches had another coat of oil and was reinstalled on its paving slab, the Cherries were watered and some memorials made safe.
Thanks too go out to all our litter pickers, both at Bury Road and Clopton Green earlier last week, and also to everyone who turned up on Sunday 6 – a great attendance with 15 adults, 5 children – we didn’t have enough grab sticks (I have requested more)! A total of eighteen bags of rubbish, a cone and some carpet were collected over the two picks. Thank you to Mary Jolland and the MSC for running the event and refreshments on Sunday.
