I’m pleased to let you know that following a grant from West Suffolk Council, we have commissioned some upgrades to the Childrens’ play areas.
On Monday 28th April, work will start to replace the feet of the swing set with a steel set – this will protect the a-frames from any strimmer damage and extend the life of the swing set.
The work will take about four days, and will be fenced off for the duration to allow the concrete to set hard. Parents and Guardians, please could you ensure that children don’t use the play area for that short period of time.
In early June, we’ll be getting some matting installed under the swing sets in the play area at Bury Road – I’ll post about this nearer the time.
We also have some work planned to the roof of the Chapel of Rest early next week (weather dependant). The area will be taped off – please be careful if you are accessing the cemetery and follow any advice from the contractor.
Finally, we are expecting delivery of a replacement bench for the eastern end of Six Acres, which we hope to be able to install over the next few weeks.
