Thanks go out to Mary Jolland and Roger Medley who joined our first volunteer day in Wickhambrook Cemetery yesterday. The weather was cold and dry and we got a lot done, clearing the leaves from the new hedge alongside the footpath, and between the yews leading up to the Memorial Garden. We also cleared out the old nettles between the Memorial Garden and the main cemetery, cut back some of the brambles in the yew trees and started a compost heap. An added bonus was the lovely spring flowers, which are just starting to show!
