I’ve received a few comments recently regarding the cemetery. Please, if you’re in the cemetery with your dog, would you keep them on the lead and ensure that any waste is picked up and placed in the grey bin by the hedge adjacent to the road. We recognise that residents may wish to visit memorials in the cemetery with their pets, but please keep in mind other users and bereaved families.
In the spring, following the creation of the footpath leading from opposite The Meadows up to the Memorial Social Centre car park, a new hedge was planted between the footpath and the cemetery. The plants are still young and establishing. Please don’t cut across the cemetery or over the new hedge to access the Recreation Ground and Six Acres, but use instead the footpath which runs down between the cemetery and the Women’s Institute Hall.
