The term “Blood Runners” conjures up all sorts of images but this is just the nickname of a group of dedicated people who make up SERV. We were expecting a young, long-haired youth on a flashy motor bike but Kerry arrived by car instead!

This month Wickhambrook welcomed Graham Dossett who spoke of the Trials of a Tour Guide Manager. Graham described how he had been a police officer before retiring and frequently holidayed in the South of France with his wife. At this month’s meeting we learnt about SULSAR – Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue. Most of us had to admit that we were not aware such an organisation existed. Everyone knows about Mountain Rescue Organisations and the RNLI which covers the sea but SULSAR covers all the area in between…

On Saturday 4th December Wickhambrook Women’s Institute held a Christmas shopping Afternoon in the WI Hall. There were many colourful stalls selling cards, gift wrapping, silver jewellery, cosmetics, garden plants and Christmas wreaths as well as local honey and Farmer’s Market preserves and jams…
