COVID BLUES

The whole world is in lockdown
A pandemic has come our way,
We can’t go out and socialise
So what am I going to wear today?

I know the situation is serious
And there’s nowhere to go and play,
But still the burning question is
What am I going to wear today?

Will I be staying in the lounge
Or baking cakes on a tray?
Whichever activity I decide to do
What am I going to wear today?

Shall I wear smart clothing
Keep your standards up they say!
I could just stay in my pyjamas
Oh what am I going to wear today?

We can’t go to restaurants
Or browse the shops all day.
We can’t go to the hairdresser’s
But what am I going to wear today?

Even the churches are closed
We are not allowed to pray.
People can’t get married
So what am I going to wear today?

Garden centres are all shut up
The plants remain in disarray.
We have no Summer bedding flowers
Does it matter what I wear today?

Swimming pools and gyms are out
What more can I say?
No way to keep in shape at all
And nothing to wear today!

You’ll think I’m being frivolous
Let’s hope this goes away.
But the biggest worry still will be
What am I going to wear today?
