Next week (w/c 10th May), Suffolk County Council Public Rights of Way Team are starting work to improve the drainage of the first 50 metres of Footpath 25 from the Coltsfoot Green end (the parish council is contributing to the costs of this). There’s no official diversion planned, but please be patient whilst the work is underway. This should enure that the footpath is much drier and more navigable in the winter months and extreme wet weather. Please keep to footpaths alongside and going across private land, to avoid damaging farmer’s crops.
Work commissioned by the parish council to the steps down onto the footpath from the recreation ground should also soon be complete (backfilling behind the steps, and adding a hand rail).
