Hello Everyone
We have said a tearful farewell to the end of the 2019 season which has proved so much fun for our members, with ladies and gentlemen alike enjoying this social game. The weather has been kind allowing play to take place most Tuesday and Sunday Club sessions (everyone welcome to pop in) and the Green has remained green without watering, in contrast to last season when had it not been for the diligence of the previous Chairman, Mr Steve Taylor, it would have been lost resembling the Gobi Desert instead! Thank you again Steve.
Although we are now in ‘hibernation’ mode if you wish to find out more about the Club, which this year had a very reasonable annual fee of £30 for the season, please ring Charles on 07881 610138.
We hope to begin play in April 2020 and will send an update for the March/April edition so ‘keep ‘em peeled’! Until then we wish you a very happy festive season and hope to enjoy seeing more of you at the Green next year for play or just a chat!
Please remember the Club welcomes all members of the family and can provide the bowls so all that is needed is a flat pair of shoes (are there any other kind!). Our photograph is one of our lady members enjoying a practice on the Green.
