Samuel Ward Academy closure: You may be aware of the closure of Samuel Ward Academy, Haverhill,  after several members of staff tested positive for Covid-19. Since the press release was issued, it has been confirmed that the number of staff testing positive is now eight. The school is hoping to re-open very soon following a deep clean and will notify parents by 5pm today. Click here for more information. Pupil wellbeing top priority for Suffolk as children head back to school: Education and health colleagues have come together to support education settings and promote wellbeing amongst pupils as thousands of children return to school. The initiative will run over the next year as the Covid-19 pandemic continues and more is learnt about the impact on children and young people, and education. Click here to read more
