Support for Local Organisations

Did you know that the parish council has a grants policy and sets aside a budget each year for supporting local groups and organisations in the parish?

Each year the parish council sets aside funds to support local clubs and groups – you can find a copy of our policy here.

Download the Grant Application Form here.

The parish council also supports clubs using its open spaces (for example, the Outdoor Bowls Club and Tennis Club) through a peppercorn rent (currently £10 per annum).  Please contact the clerk if you would like to apply for a Sports Agreement to use Six Acres.

We were also fortunate to be awarded a locality grant from our District Councillor, Sarah Pugh, for equipment to support community events such as Warm Winter Wednesdays, which were run by a group of ladies of the parish from the WI hall in January and February of this year.

From the grant, we have purchased the following equipment:

Catering Equipment for loan

Catering Equipment

2 slow cookers, a water urn, bowls, spoons, ladles and table coverings

Games for Loan

Table Games

Trolley for Loan

A Trolley

for transporting items

which are stored in the Chapel of Rest.  The parish council wishes to make these items available for loan to parish organisations.  If you would like to borrow them, please complete this form.
