Updates on work around the parish over the next week or so

10th August 2021 | Parish Clerk Report

Hello All, a few updates on work around the parish over the next week or so.

Tomorrow (Wednesday 11th) we have a working party on the Recreation Ground to take down the damaged boarding surrounding the Multi-Use Games Area.  The waste will be transferred to a skip which you’ll see on the Recreation Ground, which will be collected on Thursday morning.  If you are able to pop along for even an hour to help, do please get in touch with Hilary Workman () and she’ll be pleased to put you in touch with Paul Couzens who is leading the day.  For more information about our plans for re-purposing this space for outdoor fitness equipment, please follow this link to our consultations and projects page.  We would love to hear from you about the style of outdoor fitness equipment that would best suit Wickhambrook residents, and also whether there is a demand for a new Multi-Use Games Area at a different site on Six Acres in the future.

On Tuesday 17th (weather permitting), stonemasons will be carrying out some re-pointing to the War Memorial in the cemetery, and re-pointing the joints before the frosts set in this autumn, and on Friday 20th August, we’ll be getting the gutters on the Chapel of Rest cleared – please keep clear of these areas when the workmen are on site.
