Free and lots of FUN - Platinum Jubilee - Picnic in the Park An opportunity for family, friends, neighbours, and the whole Wickhambrook community to come together to celebrate 70 years of Great Britishness. Say "Yes" to ... Bringing as many people as you wish - all are welcome. Free parking - close to your picnic to make unloading easy. Bringing your cover - gazebos, parasols, and awnings are ok! Being comfortable - bring as many chairs and tables as you wish. Bringing your own cutlery and plates, etc. Sorry no BBQs, Bringing your own food - it is a picnic after all ! Bringing your own drinks - it is also a celebration ! What will be there ? Bunting, flags, and commemorative gifts for the kids. PA system playing well known music from all seven decades. Feel free to dance to all your old favourite hits. Ice-cream and ice-lollipops to help you stay cool. Free tea and coffee. Free treasure hunt for the kids - please accompany the very young. POSTPONED - I’m really very sorry and disappointed to have to post this notice, but having reviewed the likely weather over the weekend, we’ve had to take the decision to postpone this event – with the high winds expected over the weekend into Monday, we do not think it prudent or safe to go ahead and have taken the decision now to give everyone as much notice as possible. Ideally, we would like to reschedule for the Easter holidays, which fall between Saturday 9th and Sunday 24th April. I have requested dates from the Artist for the Street Art Workshop, and as soon as we have one confirmed I will publish a new date. Parish Clerk Coming Soon – Street Art Workshop at the Skate Park – Monday 21st February (Half Term Week!!) between 10:30am and 4:00pm. This is a stencilling workshop in the style of Banksy – You’ll be working with experienced street artists from the Reprezent Project to create art and brighten up our Skate Park!
