West Suffolk have published recommendations as part of their Community Governance Review, which include a change to the parish boundary at Wickham Street.
The proposed new external parish boundaries for consultation are shown on the map.
The reasons for the recommendations include:
- local preference (the proposal was made by the Wickhambrook Parish Council)
- the recommendation potentially offers parish boundaries to reflect the identities and interests of local residents and offer them more effective and convenient local government as a clearer boundary would be in place.
- it reflects, in community identity terms, the natural boundary created by the A143.
The consultation on the draft recommendations will be open until 30th June 2022. To have your say, please visit their survey.
