Wickhambrook Women’s Institute celebrated their 95th Anniversary at the Bedford Lodge Hotel in Newmarket on Saturday 11th December 2021.
The Institute was founded in 1926 and moved into its own hall in 1929. Wickhambrook is one of the few Institutes to have its own hall. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month with a variety of speakers and other events throughout the year.
Wickhambrook currently has 41 members including a number of new recruits. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming organisation and this recent celebration was a chance to mirror that. Julie Higgins was invited to join us and all agreed it was a brilliant venue and excellent meal.
