On Saturday 4th December Wickhambrook Women’s Institute held a Christmas shopping Afternoon in the WI Hall.
There were many colourful stalls selling cards, gift wrapping, silver jewellery, cosmetics, garden plants and Christmas wreaths as well as local honey and Farmer’s Market preserves and jams. There was the usual raffle and the chance to win a hamper full of Christmas goodies. The bottle stall took the form of a Lucky Dip where for £2 you could choose any bottle bag Blind with a chance of winning anything from a bottle of water, ketchup or a bottle of champagne! The WI craft stall had an array of homemade gifts on offer. Refreshments were available with cakes made by WI members.
A cold but dry afternoon meant the event was well attended and all agreed it was a successful day!
