Once a year we like to take our monthly meeting off site and tour a local point of interest. This year we took an after hours tour of Bury Cathedral. It was beautiful to be in the space as the setting sun streamed through the light tower and really did show off the amazing skill of the stonemasons and carpenters, as well as the glass artists and painters who have created this beautiful space.
Our tour guides gave an interesting account of the history of the cathedral, the story of St Edmund, as well as the folklore and myths surrounding the cathedral site.
